Project expectations
Website Service Terms
Effective July 10, 2026. The project-specific written quote controls where it adds to or differs from these general expectations.
Written scope and approval
Before work starts, Allen provides a written description of the pages, sections, features, supplied materials, price, deposit, and expected timeline. Work outside that approved scope requires separate written pricing and approval.
Client materials and accuracy
The client is responsible for supplying accurate business details, contact information, logos, photos, videos, testimonials, service claims, prices, and links. The client confirms they have permission to use the material they provide.
Deposits and final payment
The deposit listed in the written quote starts the project. The remaining balance is due after the agreed review and approval, before public launch or final file delivery, unless the written quote says otherwise. Any cancellation or refund terms, if applicable, must be stated in the project-specific quote.
Review and changes
The client can request reasonable corrections and polish within the approved scope during review. New pages, new features, replacement content, or a major direction change can affect the price and timeline. Extra work begins only after the client approves it in writing.
Timing and delays
Timelines depend on prompt access to content, accounts, feedback, and approvals. Delays in receiving those items can move the expected completion date. Third-party outages, account reviews, domain transfers, and platform changes can also affect timing.
Ownership and third-party services
After final payment, the client owns the completed custom website files created for the project. Third-party software, fonts, stock media, hosting, domains, plugins, and platform services remain subject to their own licences and fees. Relevant third-party items are identified when they affect the scope.
Hosting, domains, and ongoing support
Domain registration, hosting, paid software, and ongoing updates are separate unless they appear in the written quote. Launch support covers the agreed launch tasks. Later maintenance is optional and quoted separately; Allen does not require a website subscription.
Results and availability
No website can guarantee sales, leads, rankings, uninterrupted hosting, or approval by a search engine or third-party platform. The service is intended to improve clarity, credibility, and the path to contact, but results depend on factors outside the website.
